The European Jazzproject was founded in 2018 by the musician and scientist PD Dr. Jörn Henrich. For many years he was the bassist of the jazz band of the Federal Foreign Office. On the one hand he is a convinced European, on the other hand he also sees that a lot still has to be done for understanding and trust within Europe. International friendships, cooperations and respect are a matter of course for the artists involved in the European Jazzproject. The band consists of musicians from different european countries; in an international project the line-up is flexible.

Le European Jazzproject a été fondé en 2018 par Dr. Jörn Henrich musicien et agrégé en philosophie. Durant des années, il a été le bassiste du groupe du bureau fédéral des affaires étrangères. Jörn Henrich  est un européen convaincu , mais il pense également qu'il y a beaucoup à faire en matière de comprehension et confiance au sein de l'europe. Les amitiés internationales, les coopérations et le respect sont la normalité pour les musiciens du European Jazzproject. Le groupe est composé de musiciens de différents pays d'Europe; dans un tel projet, il est inévitable que la formation est flexible.

Das European Jazzproject wurde 2018 von dem Musiker und Wissenschaftler PD Dr. Jörn Henrich gegründet. Henrich war viele Jahre Bassist der Jazzband des Auswärtigen Amts und ist ihr auch weiterhin assoziiert. Zum einen ist er überzeugter Europäer, zum anderen sieht er auch, dass für das Verständnis und das Vertrauen innerhalb Europas noch viel geleistet werden muss. Für die Musiker des European Jazzproject sind internationale Freundschaften, Kooperationen und Respekt Selbstverständlichkeiten. Daher setzt sich die Band aus Musikern aus verschiedenen Ländern Europas zusammen; ein solches Projekt bringt mit sich, dass die Besetzung flexibel ist.
